**The terms Desi, South Asian, and others are used here to describe our diaspora, but because we are not a monolith, there is disagreement on which terms fully encapsulate our community. Since I don’t have the perfect term, I want emphasize that this space is for ALL OF US—from the mainlands to those with lineages of indentured servitude in different lands—for EVERYONE who identifies with this community.

Similarly, this place is for anyone who identifies as a woman or femme in ANY CAPACITY, including those who may no longer/were forced to identify as such and potentially internalized harmful messaging because of this identity.
